Less is more
Choose one message which you wish to convey and develop a design around it. Everything else that you add to the design, just takes your attention away from the core message. A strong message will have an even stronger impact than several weak messages. Excellent design is not achieved when there is nothing else to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
Focus on the message
Colors, typography and layout in design can have a strong psychological influence on the observer. This is why it is important to focus on the message and visually shape it in a clear way so as to avoid subjective impressions.
Be seductive
You may be an exceptional strategist but you cannot ignore the fact that the packaging is a silent seller. If what you are offering is not visually attractive, the customer may avoid it. First impressions last and the first impression of the customer is based solely on the visual impression. Therefore, just like with agirl, the customer will be won over by a well-balanced combination of strategy and aesthetic.
Self-development
To think that changing everything you currently have will help find a way to the customer, is not only wrong but also costly. Instead of changing your whole image, find something that currently works and build around that. Although, there are times when complete change is needed.
